Technical SEO & Automation Specialist
Position Overview
We’re implementing major improvements to our client’s WordPress/WooCommerce platform, including PIM integration, AI search capabilities, and performance optimizations. To help drive these initiatives, we need a talented WordPress developer with expertise in technical SEO and automation.
As the Senior Fullstack WordPress Developer, you’ll enhance our WordPress/WooCommerce platform with a focus on technical SEO, performance optimization, and integration automation. You’ll work alongside another senior WordPress developer and our MLOps developer to deliver measurable improvements to our client’s website’s functionality, speed, and search visibility.
Key Responsibilities
- WordPress & WooCommerce Development: Implement advanced customizations, develop custom plugins/themes, and maintain high code quality standards
- Technical SEO: Implement schema markup, optimize for Core Web Vitals, create SEO-friendly architecture, and develop automated SEO monitoring solutions
- Performance Optimization: Conduct performance audits, optimize database queries, implement advanced caching strategies, and minimize server response times
- Automation & Integration: Create workflows using Zapier/Make, develop custom API integrations, build Salesforce Marketing Cloud integrations, and implement efficient data synchronization
- Analytics & Measurement: Implement tracking solutions, develop custom dashboards, and enable A/B testing capabilities
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional WordPress development experience
- Proven expertise in WordPress performance optimization techniques
- Strong knowledge of technical SEO best practices and implementation
- Experience with WooCommerce customization and optimization
- Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL
- Experience with REST API development and consumption
- Demonstrated ability to integrate WordPress with external APIs
- Experience with automation platforms (Zapier, Make, etc.)
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud integration
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform services
Technical Skills
- Languages & Frameworks: PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS
- WordPress: Advanced theme development, plugin development, WooCommerce
- SEO Tools: Google Search Console, SEMrush, or similar
