E-Commerce AI Search Implementation
Position Overview
Our client is an expanding e-commerce company seeking to transform its digital presence by implementing Google Vertex AI search on its WordPress/WooCommerce platform. This will revolutionize customer product discovery and enhance e-commerce experience.
As the Senior MLOps Developer, you’ll lead the implementation of Google Vertex AI search capabilities that integrate seamlessly with our client’s WooCommerce store. You’ll work with our WordPress development team to create a robust, scalable AI infrastructure that drives measurable business results.
Key Responsibilities
- AI Search Implementation: Integrate WooCommerce with Vertex AI, develop ML models for search relevancy, and implement natural language processing
- Data Infrastructure: Build data pipelines to BigQuery, develop ETL processes, and ensure data quality
- MLOps Engineering: Create CI/CD pipelines for ML models, monitoring solutions, and automated retraining workflows
- Collaboration: Work with WordPress team and communicate technical concepts to stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in machine learning implementation
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform, particularly Vertex AI and BigQuery
- Understanding of search algorithms and information retrieval
- Experience deploying ML models in production environments
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with vector databases and embedding models
- Experience with recommender systems and personalization algorithms

- Cloud & ML: Google Cloud Platform, Vertex AI, BigQuery, ML model deployment
- Languages: Python, SQL
- Data Engineering: ETL pipelines, data warehousing, data transformation
- MLOps: CI/CD for ML, model monitoring, automated retraining
- Search: Information retrieval, NLP, semantic search, embeddings
- Tools: Docker, Git, REST APIs, monitoring frameworks
